About Us

The Diecast Aviation Website was founded by a number of collectors a few years ago that were passionate about collecting diecast aircraft. This then became two a couple of years ago, but sadly my colleague past away in early 2007 from cancer to leave myself running both website and forum.

Together with some well supported friends from the Forum we try and bring together a collecting community from all over the world that are passionate about one thing. Diecast aircraft! Ok, this passion has now spilled over into many other aspects of aviation and also diecast collecting too, but the Forum itself is about those who join, post and use the Forum.

The Forum is not complex, no advertising or banners. Simple and easy to use and that is the way it is supposed to be. The content is what makes the Forum, the input from each member and the information collected and passed on that helps all our members throughout the world.

We have no association with any retailer or manufacturer and thus makes us independent and not biased when it comes to the information and news we bring you.

We do not have to support a shop, retailer or influence you in any way to make a sale….. What we show you is that we are passionate about our hobby! Simple - Diecast Aircraft.

When you join the Forum you will see that we both have extensive collections covering various manufacturers from the exclusive to the standard releases, from the expensive to the ten pound releases. We try and bring you the broad spectrum of what is available and what could or should be available!

Whilst we cannot bring you every scrap of information, we have grown throughout the life of the Website and Forum and have got to know various retailers over the globe and manufacturers that have helped us establish this site and we thank them for this support and the knowledge given to us to be able to help our membership grow and also most importantly our members.

As more than just collectors, being aviation enthusiasts also fuels the passion for the web site and forum to expand and with links to major sites worldwide we hope this interest develops your “passion” not only in Diecast collecting, but in other areas also and hope you share your thoughts and views with us too via the Forum.
